Casey Thames, LPN
Infection Preventionist

Casey is the Infection Preventionist at Trevecca Center. Her educational background consists of graduating from Lurleen B Wallace Community College. Her favorite part of the job is as an infection preventionist, every day is a new adventure. Whether it is a new disease, a new strain of a virus, or a new way to prevent the spread of infection, she is constantly learning so that she can educate and implement these ever-evolving changes. She takes pride in bringing understanding and peace to residents, their families, and our staff during a confusing and challenging time. She has been working in Healthcare for 20+ years, most of those years in long-term care. However, she also has experience in child and adolescent psych. She became a nurse responding to nothing short of “a calling.” She found her passion for nursing as a little girl assisting her grandmother's caring for her grandfather, who battled cancer, and from that early age, she has always felt the need to care for others. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and exploring different musical adventures with her husband in her spare time.
